Role at CoCo

Adam Works for CoCo Full-Time as a Web Application Developer. He is responsible for the development of collaborative learning tools. Predominantly using Flash and Plone/Zope. He is also responsible for designing and administering the CoCo technical infrastructure.

Bio

Adam completed a Bachelor of Engineering (Software) at the University of Sydney in 2003. He is currently working on a Research Masters in the school of Information Technologies.

Development Projects

  • SNOOKER - System for Network-Oriented Online Collaboration for Educational Research. A synchronous collaboration tool developed in Flash using Flash Media Server for connectivity. It also consists of some Coldfusion development to allow for connectivity to a MySQL database (Flash remoting), as well as some Python code to allow for authentication in Plone. This is a mature project that has been evolving since 2004 and has been used in various incarnations with students.
  • WikiNavMap - A Wiki visualisation to aid navigation and foster collaboration. This was developed as part of a Masters by Research thesis in the School of IT. It will be made open source upon completion. It was developed as a Plugin for Trac, written in Python with heavy use of AJAX.
  • CMF Questions - A rapid survey creation tool for Plone.
  • Trac RSS Dashboard Widget - This is a widget for the dashboard in OS X which allows you to view ticket RSS feeds in Trac.
  • SCORM Run-Time environment for dotLRN - This was part of an Honours thesis for a Bachelor of Engineering (Software). It involved Java and OpenACS development (TCL).
