Research Associate |
I joined CoCo in February 2007, just days before handing in my PhD thesis at the Faculty of Information Technology of the University of Technology, Sydney. My PhD research (started in March 2004) looked into mobile technology adoption factors. I officially graduated in September 2007.
I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Teaching (from the University of Wroclaw in Poland), a Diploma of Information Technology (Intl School of Business and Technology, Sydney), and a Master of Information Systems (Australian Catholic University, North Sydney).
From 2003-2005 I worked as a lecturer at the Australian Catholic University, and in 2006 I was a lecturer at the University of Ballarat (Sydney campus) - both included unit coordination. Since 2004 I have also been doing some casual teaching at UTS. I've taught a variety of Information Systems and Information Technology subjects. In 2004-2005 I worked as a Local Organizing Chair for the Fourth International Conference on Mobile Business (Sydney, July 2005).
During my PhD studies I also worked as a research assistant for Associate Professor Elaine Lawrence, my supervisor at UTS. During this time, I published over 20 papers (including several journal publications, and a conference paper that won a Best Student Paper Award). I've served as a reviewer for several conferences, and have been a Program Committee member for IADIS International Conferences on E-Society since 2006.
I'm now working as a researcher on two ARC Discovery & Linkage projects led by Peter Goodyear and Rob Ellis - "Learning through online and co-present discussion in higher education: expectations, experiences and outcomes" and "Blended learning in schools, TAFE and universities: experience, principles, patterns and practice".
