Penshurst Primary School

Two stage groups from Penshurst Public School developed units of work involving the use of mobile technology to support students' learning. Stage One students and their teacher Jenny Cottle made an adventurous start to creating a Database of the Plants in the School Playground. The students used digital cameras and tablet pc's to record information about their plants.

Stage Three students and their teachers Pauline Carr and Karen Moss conducted a Minibeast Biodiversity Study at their local park.

Two Stage Three classes visited scientists at the Australian Museum to learn how to study insects in the field.

Students then applied these techniques to conduct a biodiversity study in their local park.
